Rajamangala National Stadium which is also commonly known as the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium is the one and only national stadium for Thailand and where the National Football Team of Thailand practice. The stadium was officially opened to the public in the year 1998 and is situated in Khwaeng Hua Mak in Bangkok. The stadium was firstly used for the Asian games of 1998 and was used for many international events like football matches. Also the 2007Asian Cup tournament was one of the notable matches that were organized in the stadium. Rajamangala Stadium was an innovative idea of the Chulalongkorn University.
This stadium is also used by various clubs for matches and practices like the Chonburi FC, PEA FC clubs. It is a stadium which would simply sweep you off your feet. It is astounding how it’s designed and how impressive it looks. The stands of the stadium rise up and fall and even the tiers of sets rise as they go around. The stadium looks the best at a distance most clearly from up in the air where you could get a great view of the elliptical shape. The Rajamangala Stadium could hold around 49 749 spectators. In the beginning it could hold only like 65000 people but it was reconstructed with plastic chairs to the places they had bare steps made out of concrete for the AFC Asian Cup 2007. The Rajamangala Stadium was chosen to hold the 2012 Race of Champions which is a giant event.
It is simply marvellous with the many cars and a massive amount of spectators joining in to enjoy and witness the excitement. You should definitely attend the Race of Champions 2012 which is held in Rajamangala Stadium in Thailand if you are on tour to Thailand.
